Chain Maille

Chain maille is an ancient form of ring-weaving that dates back to centuries before Christ was born. It was heavily used in medieval times to make armor.

I use the art of chain maille weaving to create jewelry - necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings. There are many different weaves out there, each using a different gauge of wire and size of ring. The size of the rings is very important, as any variation may cause a particular weave to not work.

I make all my own rings by hand - coiling, cutting and tumble polishing them in my home studio. I use sterling silver, solid copper and gold filled wire, and any weave can be made from any of those metals.

I can custom make any piece you like - just let me know the weave and the length you desire, along with your clasp preference (toggle or lobster).
